User Experience and Interface Designer

SkyGrid provides real-time semantic analysis and delivery of internet news. You will be responsible for all aspects of front-end interaction and visual experience, including but not limited to: prototype construction, interaction design, usability testing and visual design. Our SkyGrid application received an Honorable Mention at the 2007 MAX Awards and we will be even better in the future.
Responsibilities
Work with other team members to create striking designs that unleash the power and value of our SkyGrid Internet news application.
Own the user interface design in product development.
Create attractive, innovative, and highly usable user interfaces.
Produce solid specifications including mockups, flow diagrams, and final designs.
Meet goals and time lines.
Qualifications
Academic background in Human-Computer Interaction, Visual Design, Product Application Design, or a related field.
Experience in designing usable and compelling user interfaces.
An understanding of user-centered design methodology and the process of interaction design development.
A team player who is self-motivated, solution-oriented, willing to work in a fast paced software development environment.
Knowledge of graphic design and prototyping tools.
Knowledge of Flash or Flex is a plus.
Understanding of HTML, CSS, AJAX a plus.
