Software Engineer
SkyGrid has an exciting and challenging opportunity for passionate developers to join our unique engineering and scientific team and help create the next-generation of our SkyGrid Internet application.
SkyGrid provides real-time semantic analysis and delivery of internet news. You will contribute alongside experts in fields such as text mining and semantic analysis, large scale applications, and scalable Internet infrastructure, to advance the capabilities of our core technologies.
Responsibilities
Help create and develop robust and scalable distributed software systems, advanced semantic analysis algorithms, and large scale applications to enhance SkyGrid, our leading edge internet application.
Work with other software engineers on our team, following industry best practices.
Take responsibility for delivering stable code, meeting specifications and timelines.
Participate in ongoing code reviews to ensure consistent quality and adherence to internal standards.
Qualifications
MS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent working experience.
Experience in Java or C/C++.
Experience with Python a plus.
Relevant software development experience a plus; exceptional recent graduates welcome.
Proven problem-solving skills.
A passion to work on a leading edge internet application.
